CARINDALE AND CARINA

 

The Carindale area is located approximately 10km south-east from the Brisbane CBD.  Carindale and the surrounding suburbs offer a selection of walk and bikeways, water ways and parks including the Carindale Recreation Reserve and the Minnippi Wetlands.

 

Community infrastructure in this area is more than adequate with a major hospital only 10 minutes away. There are primary schools in the area including St Martins Catholic Primary, Whites Hill, Carina, Belmont and Camp Hill. High schools include the Camp Hill, Cavendish Road and San Sisto High Schools. Griffith University is nearby as is the Mt Gravatt TAFE.

 

Shopping facilities include close access to the large and successful Carindale shopping centre and smaller shopping centre’s in Carina, Belmont and Mt Gravatt East. These suburbs have access to very good bus transport and its nearest railway station is in nearby Tingalpa – five minutes drive away.

 

BULIMBA

 

Located less than 5kms from Brisbane’s CBD, Bulimba is one of Brisbane’s most popular riverside suburbs. Bulimba offers residents the choice of Bulimba Memorial Park and Vic Lucas Park situated right on the Brisbane River for picnic spots and outdoor activities. Bulimba’s Oxford Street is a great place to go for local shopping or to catch up with friends at one of the local restaurants, cafes or bars or see a movie at the Balmoral Cinema

 

Bulimba is well serviced by rail (the closest stations are Cannon Hill and Morningside), regular bus services and the CityCat ferry services departing from the end of Oxford Street and Apollo Road, all ensuring residents can access the city and other major centre’s easily. Residents are also close to the Gateway Motorway and the Southeast Freeway making weekend trips to the Gold and Sunshine Coasts trouble-free.

 

Schools in and around Bulimba are Bulimba Primary School, Lourdes Hill College, Balmoral High School, and Cannon Hill Anglican College. University students are also within 15 minutes of the Griffith University Campus at Morningside and a short ferry or bus ride from the QUT Gardens Point campus.



MORNINGSIDE

 

Approximately 7km east of the Brisbane CBD, Morningside residents enjoy its close proximity to the City while taking advantage of the community atmosphere the suburb affords. Being close to the more bustling suburbs of Bulimba and Hawthorne but without the big price tags, a number of younger couples have moved into Morningside capitalising on the comparative affordability of housing. This is a suburb that is expected to see even stronger growth in the next few years with high commercial activity currently evident/ Morningside boasts many facilities and services including a major shopping centre, railway station, private schools and numerous parks and recreational reserves. For water lovers, Colmslie Reserve in Morningside offers boat access to the Brisbane River.
